My Story

I'm a physio who lives
6,000km from my parents.

CoNucleus came out of two things: what I see at work, and what I worry about for my own parents.

What I see in my clinic

Almost every week, I see them.
Older adults whose families had no idea anything was wrong.

They come in with injuries that didn't have to happen. A fall that could've been flagged by declining step counts. Fatigue masked by disrupted sleep. Subtle changes in heart rate that no one noticed until it was too late.

The warning signs were always there. But the people who care most, their children, are often the last to know.

About Me

Why I built CoNucleus

I'm Shirouz, a physiotherapist based in Melbourne, Australia. My parents live in Singapore, over 6,000km away. I've been away for over five years now.

I'm an avid sportsman. I play soccer and compete in Ironman 70.3 triathlons. My parents were elite athletes when they were younger. But now, like so many parents, they're too busy and don't prioritise their health the way they used to.

In my practice, I see this pattern constantly. Older adults coming in with injuries where the warning signs were present for weeks, sometimes months. Declining activity. Poor sleep. Changes in resting heart rate. If their family had known, they could have stepped in earlier.

I built CoNucleus because I was tired of the anxiety. The constant checking in. The worry that something might happen while I'm on the other side of the world. I wanted a way to stay connected to my parents' health passively, without nagging. I knew other families needed the same thing.

Here's my family during me and Aditi's wedding (she's my wife). They're back in Singapore, and I miss them every day. I worry about my parents ageing well so they can be happy and healthy for as long as possible.

CoNucleus is for every adult child who lives with that quiet worry. You shouldn't have to choose between your life and your peace of mind.

Why I built this

A weekly email that
finally means something.

I built CoNucleus to turn passive smartwatch data into a story you can actually understand. No medical jargon. No dashboards to check. Just clear emails twice a week, Sundays and Wednesdays at 7am in your local time, telling you how your parent is doing and what you can do to help.

Every family deserves to stay close to their parents, no matter how far apart they are. That's what I'm building.

they're doing.
